About Us
Philip Bryant is a commercial pilot for Single and Multi-Engine Land Airplanes and Hot Air Balloons. Phil has over 4000 hours logged as PIC with 575 hours in Hot Air Balloons. He holds an Advanced Ground Instructor rating, also an instrument rating for airplanes and has been an ASMEL Instrument Instructor. Presently Phil is serving the ballooning community as an FAA Aviation Safety Counselor and an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner. He has been flying balloons for 8 years and owns Ballooning Adventures of Texas, the Houston firm that holds the FAA Part 141 Ground School Certificate used by the school. Phil realized there was a need for high quality ground school instruction when student pilots continued to fail the oral exam portion of their check rides. It was obvious the need was there for better ground school training for Students, Private and Commercial Pilots. Phil was recently elected to the Balloon Federation of America, Board of Directors, and is the current President of that organization which serves all pilots, crew and Junior Balloonist with the sport of Hot Air Ballooning.

Brenda Cowlishaw has always been fascinated by balloons. When Brenda attended the U.S. National Balloon Championships in Indianola when she was 5 years old she decided to become a balloon pilot. Brenda became a rated balloon pilot in 1996 in Tulsa Oklahoma . Continuing her quest for excellence, she became very focused and earned her Commercial Balloon Pilot Certificate in 2000 and has earned level three in the FAA's Wings program. Brenda brings teaching skills and a very complete understanding of ballooning to the class. Her perspective and enthusiastic approach brings a fresh approach to the classroom.
